After buying a cheap Lexivon torque wrench, which I returned, I decided to buy this Proto. For sure the Proto is 4x more expensive, but given that it meets the manufacture's specs (I tested it) compared to the Lexivon, which was 8 lbs over at 30 ftlbs and wouldn't even click at 10 ftlbs with a 20 pound load, it's well worth it simply for piece of mind. This is certainly a case of you get what you pay for.Just so you know, the wrench comes in the newer grey case with hinge rods. In the questions about this wrench posted in 2015, one person said it came with a case, and another person said it didn't come with one. Well, mine came with a case in 2022! I also added those little black foam blocks on the inside of the case top to help keep the wrench from banging around. The case doesn't come with those blocks.I'm very happy with the purchase and feel confident the wrench will torque to the values I need it to. The wrench operates smoothly, locks on each setting, and appears to be well made. I should have just went this route in the beginning without even messing around with trying to save a little money!
