I would definitely recommend this 1/4 inch torque wrench.I bought it for screwing my front strut tower brace nuts with specified torque value. I took it out of the case, pulled the knurled dial and rotated the handle to the lowest level then to the specified torque setting. I began screwing the nut with this torque wrench with less speed as it approached the preset torque range. I finally felt a sudden and abrupt movement of the neck of this torque wrench with subtle 'click'. I felt it reached the preset torque. Then I began screwing another nut the same way to hear subtle 'click' and noticeable sudden and abrupt movement of the neck of the wrench. I did crewing 4 nuts and unscrewed them with ANOTHER simple (not torque adjustable) 1/4 wrench. Before re-screwing them, I screwed them with the NON-TORQUE ADJUSTABLE wrench until I felt slight resistance. Then I made recalibration of this torque wrench by bringing it down to the lowest torque level and adjusting to a specific torque value. Then I screwed all of 4 nuts again with noticeable 'click'.1) Every torque wrench manufacturers recommend you to bring it to the lowest torque level while storing and before use.2) It seems wise to fasten the nut with decremental speed as you feel more resistance screwing it.3) Slow and smooth movement would be necessary to realize a sudden movement of neck and/or slicking sound.( I felt the clicking sound was not so loud.)4) The knurled handle rotates smoothly and it was easy to fix it to a specific torque level. I appreciate the quality of this torque wrench.5) You should have another NON-TORQUE ADJUSTABLE wrench to loosen a bolt or a nut. They say loosening a bolt with this torque adjustable wrench may ruin the internal mechanism and bring it to inaccuracy.6) I still hope that the price would be lowered for more popular use.
