Pros: It's a ratcheting adjustable torque wrench, and it's possibly the cheapest one on earth. It's good for applying repeatable, known torque to fasteners. It ratchets gently and properly, as any good ratchet assembly should. It comes with a plastic case that it fits easily into, and includes both English and Metric torque scales. It feels like a quality tool.Cons: It's possibly the cheapest one on earth. For those that genuinely believe that price must be an indicator of quality, look elsewhere. For those looking for a tool with tight, NIST-traceable calibration, look elsewhere. If my job depended on such a tool, I'dOther thoughts: I've seen identical torque wrenches at local auto parts stores (same machining, same knurling, same same same) differing only in branding and packaging...and at three times the price. The manufacturer says this wrench is calibrated to within +/- 4%, which is both believable and perfectly adequate for my needs.Pittsburgh is a Harbor Freight house brand. The reviews of this item are much better at Harbor Freight's own site than they are here at Amazon, and my suspicion is that this is because most of the negative reviews here seem to be from people who have never used a click-style torque wrench before and just don't understand the proper operation of such a tool. There is nothing wrong with this item. The click can be soft, but that is common to all torque wrenches at lower settings.Superior tool makers often offer several different, relatively narrow overlapping torque ranges for a given socket-drive size to provide a more-pronounced click when lower torque values are needed by the end-user. By contrast this wrench has a very wide range, which is nice for a home mechanic who doesn't want to buy 3 different torque wrenches to cover the usual gamut of fasteners.I also own 3/8 and 1/2" versions this wrench and have used occasionally them for years. I do not expect to have to replace them in my lifetime wrenching on my own cars in the driveway.
