International Renown, constantly modernizing powerful devices to meet the demands of the modern user.Astro Pneumatic Tool 1822 ONYX 1/2" Nano Impact Wrench v2 - 500ft/lbThe Astro Pneumatic Tool 1822 1/2" Nano Impact is the latest in mini lightweight impact development. At only 3.85" long (or about 1/2" longer than a credit card), the twin hammer 1822 Nano Impact is deceivingly powerful, registering a max of 450 ft./lbs. of torque. The 1822 was designed to be extremely light (3.0lbs.) and well balanced when connected to an air line, and operates in 3 forward and reverse speeds. Featuring a twin hammer design for increased reliability, and coming from Astro's robust ONYX line, this impact has more than just the numbers behind it.
Product 1 Extreme low profile, similar to the size of a credit card at 3.46” long
Product 1 Industry leading 415 ft/lbs. of MAX torque
Product 1 Extended right-angle neck design for getting into confined spaces a standard hand gripped impact cannot
Product 2 This next generation “v2” features a new high performance motor and ported exhaust for 500 ft-lbs of Max Torque
Product 2 Industry leading extreme short profile with a full length of less than 3-7/8"
Product 2 3 forward and 3 reverse settings
Product 2 Innovative twin hammer design. 4.8 CFM. Hi-Flo fittings suggested.
I gave this impact a 1 star after it stopped working on me shortly after the 1 year mark but I took it apart and rebuilt it. It's working as good as new or even better. I also upgraded my compressor recently and my small compressor before this couldn't run it well since impacting to break a bolt free needs constant hammering. Ever since I got my new compressor, this has been my go-to impact for general automotive work. It's extremely powerful and fits comfortably in the hand. I take back my 1 star review and replace it with 5 stars. One small thing is that the glue that they use for the rubber handle failed and I tried to reglue it with some jb weld. It fell off after a few uses even with the jb weld and I can't get it to stay on. That's my only gripe as of now. Good tool for the money, just make sure your compressor can keep up with it. I'll definitely be buying more astro tools in the future, as they're the majority of my air tools. Just wish their customer service was better. They don't respond often, even when inquiring about replacement parts. I also just ordered a 498k air hammer to test against my 4980. Hope it's worth it.
