Have had this on my 1958 Bridgeport M-Head for a few months. The installation was easy peasy, no mods necessary. I suspect the design was meant for older machines and needs to be modified for newer ones.In general it was good, speed traverse worked well, powered cutting was OK, but the potentiometer was wobbly and had to be adjusted for every first cut as it was very "loose" and wouldn't hold its position. The gears were a bit noisy at first. I carefully adjusted the spacing to find that my original setting was correct. Figured I'd just have to live with the noise.Yesterday I ran a number of ~ 1' long cutting passes, and sure enough it let out the smoke, tried to work a bit, then nothing. My X table motion is very smooth, perhaps too smooth, and it wasn't heavy cutting, just .5" x ~.05 @ ~1500 RPM in 6061 aluminum. Can't do heavy cutting on my ancient BP anyway. The temp shutoff button didn't kick, and efforts to make it do anything were futile. It's apart on my bench now, If it's not on the board I'll probably be able to fix it.Since I paid the extra $200 for the better drive this is disappointing..........Edit.......After writing the above I looked for the warranty on the device, and couldn't find it. Chased all over Amazon (I blame Amazon for making that difficult), and finally found a way to contact the seller. The seller asked me a few questions, and immediately sent me a new one via FedEx. Hurrah! Good job.I wish I could give 5 stars, but it did fail. As I said earlier, I was happy with it's performance. The next level power feed is about double the cost, and I couldn't justify that. There are feeds that cost about half, but reading reviews, Practical Machinist, and You Tube I don't think they will last.
