This impact is built well and comparable to standardized ir231 guns. It isn't quiet by any means, but will serve you well in a mechanics or tire and brake shop for nearly any impact needs. It is hefty, due to the heavy hammers and this is the key to longevity and power. Easy rear direction change switch also prevents accidental direction changes common to the forward / rearward button selectors. Buy one today for your toolbox, home or shop, you won't need another for many years. As a former mechanic for 20 plus years i handled 1/2" 3/4" and 1" impacts daily.
