I haven’t verified calibration but this is a nicely made part with smooth adjustment and obvious attention to detail and quality. I jut bought its big brother as well, a 1/2” drive 250 ft/lbs model and it appears to be of equal quality. I have a lot of Gearwrench tools including ratchets, sockets and wrenches and I like them all. I use these tools for work on a regular basis and everything is nicely crafted.Needed a low torque wrench, i have been buying tekton but this time i gave another brand a chance. I am impressed and will now put this brand on the list. Quality and built is good. Easy to adjust and feel. One thing though.. i wish aside from the feel.. it has a clicking sound to tell us we reached the torque needed. It feels like it has fine teeth but the angle you have to turn it before it clicks is too great in my opinion for $100 wrench. Not the best in tight spaces.I will use the torque wrench mainly for axle nuts, tires, and engine work.Seems to do the job! This is a quality made wrench in theory. However what I can’t get past is the 2 inch lbs increments! Needs to be 1 inlbs increments! It’s also hard to tell if the wrench is set on a certain spec considering the indicator is above the spec whereas most wrenches reveal the spec just above the barrel. Ok for the price but needs to have proper increments.I bought this to replace a battery powered digital. Just get this old school mechanical because your batteries will be dead when you need it. It feels good and works great. I am slowly buying more and more Gearwrench brand as they provide good quality and reliability. Solid product.High quality and works as it should. It is easy to use and to get the right torque. No guessing that you have the right foot pounds husband is very happy with this.Reasonable for the price , but I was both surprised and disappointed to find in the literature that it only has a 90 day warranty ! Most good quality torque wrenches have a 1 year warranty , this 90 day warranty makes me seriously wonder about the quality of the tool ? The GearWrench brand seems to be on a progressive downward spiral in quality , back in the 1990's their products were quite good value for money , I do not know if I could say that this is still the case ! ? I guess that is what happens when you buy cheap tools .The first one I purchased looked like it had been dropped. The metal cap on the bottom was damaged badly. I had a replacement sent out and the chrome on the replacement is flaking off. Usually GearWrench has great quality products, not sure what is happening here. Maybe the first one was used then returned, or maybe this was just a bad batch??? The second one should have definitely not passed QC.I am tempted to try a third time, but I don't know. I don't want Amazon to flag me for too many returns.Easy to set, fits in hand perfect and is compact enough to use in smaller spaces.I've been upgrading my tool box to Gearwrench over the past few years and so far I've been very pleased with their performance.I like the initial quality, but the increments on the adjustment don't line up with the lines on the shaft and for the price this isn't very good, even my cheap princess auto torque wrench reads correctThis one is accurate from 30-35ish ft/lbs to 100 ft/lbs. Save your money and get the 120xp digital torque wrench it’s way better hands down.
