I saw the mostly positive reviews, now I'm thinking those people out there don't have a single idea what a quality tool really feels like !Man where do I even start....I knew it was a cheap crappy return the moment I grabbed its oversized box !Everything this wrench does it does wrong !The only positives this wrench has are the clear and very legible torque values etched on the bar, this wrench has a satin finish that allows you to see them at most any angle and a certificate of accuracy (for what that's worth).....sadly that's all I enjoyed here !Otherwise this wrench ABSOLUTELY SUCKS, so now let me explain why....1. adjustment handle: it's hard to turn, I never know when it's fully unloaded and at one point it will come off the threads inside if you keep going until it bottoms out on the lock nut, just spinning loose!!! (after this I'm not trusting any torque tool for a single minute further);2. adjustment nut: it's small and hard to grip, it also unscrews/unlocks when handle is even gently turned counter-clockwise allowing it to move from your set torque at worst possible moments;3. 15in/lb increments on the bar and 1 on the handle: it's just so much simpler when it increases by 10 on bar and 1in/lb on handle instead;4. the directional switch on the head is super cheap and sounds cheap every time you switch directions, it likes to get stuck in the middle as well and you can feel the mechanism inside is low tooth count;5. there's no socket release button either, I tried pressing but it's just the flat rear housing of the socket drive, you actually have to pull the sockets off by force (inviting in busted knuckles and older sockets prone to seizing getting stuck ?);6. after opening the box the wrench wasn't fully unloaded as it should be making me sceptical as to its accuracy after such poor storage for who knows how long, it was certified 3/19/21 so over a year ago;7. the hard case it came in looks to be for a ⅜” wrench instead and this shorter ¼" drive version is rattling around inside it like it's a Kinder Surprise egg?Overall it's a huge disappointment, I needed something precise to bolt up my SBC intake manifold and PCM to correct values but this crap just doesn't cut it for such details in my book....working this wrench and worrying will I snap bolts actually stressed me out more then the job I needed it for and I just can't trust it after seeing the way it was stored and shipped: not fully unloaded and moving around loose? In the end I never even heard it click and just finished with my standard wrench again, I'm not even gonna wait the 30 days it's going back after only four, it's sub-par !2 - stars, only due to the ultra legible scale, OTHERWISE AVOID !!!This wrench tested about +-5% in my testing even after factoring in the accuracy of the tester. It's a nice wrench if you're ok with the accuracy.Capri 1/4 t-wrench looks nice, size is good and range of scale good, but if you hold it and wiggle the handle it has alot of side play around the circumference, the lock did not stop handle from rotating as the handle play allowed the movement and that caused concern over accuracy and quality so I proceeded to test the torque on the lowest and a mid-point on the bench. You can google for the method using a luggage scale...yes. Both tests were in the tolerance range stated. I thought if you are careful I could overlook this lock quirk. I proceeded to torque bolts on an aluminum engine and once i reached a torque setting it clicked and proceeded to another bolt and then it seemed not to want to hit the break setting, as you do enough bolts you get a feel and sense of tightness and when it should click. So I went back to one that clicked before and now the wrench did not click and allowed me to tighten more. I then stopped using it and did it all by feel as I did not want to snap any bolts. The lower settings 100 in-lb t-wrench worked consistently I felt but at the higher 200 in-lbs it was very inconsistent as I tried another bolt I hand tightened, set t-wrench at 170 in-lb and could get it to click but then reset back to 200 in-lb it kept tightening beyond what i felt was safe and accurate and did not want to press my luck before snapping a bolt. Also want to point out the click is more a feel rather than a loud click like larger t-wrenches. I may return it as you can't be trying to outguess a tools behavior so I have no confidence in its performance up the scale.Update 10/30/19 I tried using on another project for 150 in-lbs (12.5 ft-lbs) and sometimes it clicked and other times I felt it should stop and I finally snapped the bolt. I will return this wrench, too bad its overall physical size fits into tighter spaces.I was on the hunt for a torque wrench that could be used to tighten small parts like those found on a bicycle. The Capri 1/4" torque wrench fit the bill with a compact 8.3" length and a range of 2-28 Nm. It also has micro-adjustment in .11 Nm (1 in/lb) steps. On top of that it was only $30 and, at least in the pics, it looked nice with an easy to read scale. I must admit upon unboxing the wrench I was a little disappointed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the scale isn't actually as easy to read as it appears in the pictures. The markings on the black handle are clear but the engraving on the silver shaft is difficult to read. Also, the handle turns very rough like metal-on-metal grinding. It's not smooth at all but I guess this is to be expected on a $30 wrench. I also was surprised that an 8" wrench comes in a case designed for the larger 14" wrenches. It would be nice to have a case that actually fit the wrench. On the plus side, the wrench does seem to be working correctly. I had no trouble getting the wrench to "click". Also, bits are not included so take this into consideration when comparing other wrenches.** UPDATE: Soon after I purchased this torque wrench I was contacted by Capri Tools customer service seeking feedback. I replied with my honest assessment of the tool and they promptly replied indicating my feedback had been forwarded on to the appropriate department. In fact, most of the issues I commented on are being addressed in the new version of this tool. I'm VERY impressed by the level of customer service shown by Capri Tools and for that reason alone I've upped my rating from 3 to 4 stars.Terrible product!! Please do not buy as you can have surprises like me. I bought it for one time job: replaceing my car glow plugs and it was't able to do it. I set the lowest torque (as the manual require) and i managed to snap a test bolt but the "click" system didn't stop me to do it. They advert it as a calibrated product but how is possible to come calibrated and broke in the same time??? I'm gonna return it and spend a little more for a Wera branded product. I'm sure that i'm gonna have it for my whole life (i'm still young and healthy :)))) )For the price, you can't get better.Comes with plastic box, technical calibration sheet.Very nice aesthetically, very nice construction quality. Good feel a easy to use.Works fine, I almost look like a real mechanic. Just look like... lolDid exactly what I needed to tighten bolts correctly on my boat engine. Very useful as it shows how easy it is to over-tighten! Seems to be well made, but only time will tell.A must for any DIY Mechanic. handy for torqueing those hard to reach bolts.Just recieved this item & does what it says on the tin, a good ratchet operation with a smooth click operation overall very pleased with the purchase would recommend to friends
